Why Sugaring Hair Removal Is A Great Alternative To Waxing

Sugaring hair removal is a fascinating alternative to the more common waxing hair removal methods, and also to the permanent options of laser treatment and electrolysis. Sugaring hair is an entirely natural and safe method of removing unwanted hair, and, while the results will not be permanent, they will at least be painless and leave no after effects. Whether you use a paste or gel solution, you will get an effective hair removal which will last for up to six weeks. You can then apply the treatment for as long as you need to, as the results are safe and easy to achieve.

There are two basic types of sugar treatment for unwanted hair. These are the paste and the gel techniques. The paste is the more traditional of the two, having been used centuries ago in the ancient Middle East. The paste is applied first in the direction of the hair, and then in the opposite direction. Following this, it is removed by flicking, in the direction of the hair. The newer gel technique is simply applied once, following the direction of the hair, and then removed in the opposite direction.

There are several advantages of the sugaring techniques over the more common waxing. The first of these is that it is possible to cover a far larger area during one treatment. This means that you can cut down the time it takes to carry out the treatment dramatically if you have a lot of hair to remove from a large area. When you consider that this is only a temporary solution which will need to be reapplied, you can see that the time savings can be dramatic over a period of time.

The time savings can be even more dramatic if you use a practitioner who is highly skilled in the operation. There are people who can cover a large area very quickly, and then remove the thick mixture before you even know what is happening. It is also easy to go back and deal with any areas which may have been missed, or which have for some reason not responded to the treatment.

You can even try sugaring hair removal in your own home, because it is entirely safe to do if it is done properly. This is the key issue, as if it is not done properly it can lead to skin irritation and further problems. It is a shame that few salons seem to offer this treatment, as it is one of the most versatile and effective of all temporary treatments. It can even have the unexpected benefit of turning into a permanent solution, as sugaring over time can cause the follicle to fail to grow further hair. If this happens, you will no longer need sugaring hair removal.
